Location: Shawmut Equipment, 136 Eastman Street. South Easton, Massachusetts

Price: $2050 per operator for one exam category and $2250 for two

Training Objectives:
1. Preparation for the NCCCO mobile crane written and practical exams, including:
- Crane set-up and general knowledge concepts
- Load dynamics
- Lift planning
- Load charts
- OSHA and ASME standards, including relevant signal person and rigging regulations
- Hazard identification

2. Reduce employer liability exposure through training and certification and meet the federal OSHA requirement for certification

3. Exam categories offered: TSS (hydraulic fixed cab) and TLL (hydraulic swing cab)

Important note: This class is for experienced operators only! There is only one day of preparation for the practical exam, and the rest of the class is spent preparing you for the written exams. If you are an entry-level operator, please contact us for alternative training and certification options.

Schedule:
- Monday: Signaling and rigging qualification
- Tuesday: Operations, general knowledge
- Wednesday: Load charts and lift planning
- Thursday: Practice on the test cranes
- Friday: Written and practical exams

Class begins at 8:00am each day and lunch will be provided on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Please pack a lunch for Thursday and Friday.

Shawmut to Host Mobile Crane / Boom Truck NCCER Training in South Easton: Sept. 30 - Oct. 4, 2024

While this class is meant for entry-level operators, we can also accept experienced operators who need more assistance prepping for written exams, and recert operators who want a short class option. For the short class candidates we will send a study package in advance and you may optionally attend the load chart day on Wednesday before testing on Friday. Most practical exams will be scheduled onsite by appointment. The cost for the short class option is $1300 for one exam category.
